May 13, 1999 Monthly Board Meeting

Board Members Present: Sharon Desaulnier, Rick Kasper
Absent: Bill Boardman

Officers Present: President Curt Mays, Vice Pres. Karen DeBoer, Treasurer Ron Ramieri
Absent: Secretary Tracy Kubricky

Vice President Karen DeBoer called the meeting order. The minutes of the April meeting were made available. The minutes were accepted as distributed.

Treasurers Report: Savings: $3,406.82 Checking: $18,254.22 CD: $26,283.98

Architectural Review Board: A three-season room for Wingate Rd

Covenants Committee: No report

Grounds Committee: They were asked to cut the brush on High Meadow to expose fruit trees. Chestnut trees are to be planted by the existing trees. The nursery was started. Holly bushes were moved from the oak barren to the meadow. A path was cut from the cemetery to Chestnut Hill Rd. 100 Chestnut trees were ordered. Article is going in to the newsletter. Debris (broken bottles, etc) behind the main entrance wall will be cleaned up by Rick Kasper . Recommend planting something near the sand barrels at main entrance to prevent cars from driving on the grass. Water Co is fixing up the area by the water tower. Ken Burke will look into fall planting of the “tree of the year” to be purchased by discount by the homeowners.

New business: Purchasing of landscaping equipment was discussed. It was decided the liability issues would not make them feasible.

The next meeting will be at South Rd School on June 10, 1999 at 7pm.
